Giants WR Golden Tate wants to move on after fight with Rams CB Jalen Ramsey

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate's first interview Thursday since his postgame fight with Jalen Ramsey of the Los Angeles Rams, ended with a question about whether having no visible bruises on his face meant he won.
With a laugh, Tate quipped: "I had my helmet on."
In his first comments since a reported family feud with Ramsey boiled over at the game's final whistle in the Giants' 17-9 loss to the Rams last Sunday, Tate initially refused to provide any details or comment specifically about what had transpired.
For the most part, Tate followed through on that promise.
“I don’t even want to backpedal and discuss that because I don’t think going back there is going to help us this week,” Tate said on a Zoom call. “I really don’t want to draw any more attention or put any more highlights out there that don’t have anything to do with [the Giants' upcoming game this Sunday against] Dallas."
Asked if he regrets anything that happened, Tate appeared to sigh before responding, “Next question.”
Tate and Ramsey found themselves at the center of a postgame melee – presumably settling a personal family score with regard to Tate's sister, who is reportedly the mother of Ramsey's two children. Breanna Tate and Ramsey went through a messy breakup, according to the New York Post.
Giants coach Joe Judge said he did not plan any in-house discipline for Tate for his involvement. He said he was told by Giants players that Tate was defending himself.
Judge also added that he did not want co-owners John Mara and Steve Tisch "to have to deal with anything like this" with respect to the Tate/Ramsey tussle.
The NFL has reportedly launched an investigation into the incident, but no video that reveals how the skirmish began and who initiated the confrontation has surfaced publicly.
“My sister and I talked about it in detail, but that was it,” Tate said. “I want to move forward to this week because that’s what’s important.”
