Giants seal wild comeback with massive victory against Packers in London

LONDON — The New York Giants refuse to quit. They trailed 17-3, and again 20-10. They lost Saquon Barkley to a shoulder injury, but kept coming.

First, Daniel Jones led a remarkable 91-yard drive to pull even with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Then Barkley returned, and gave the Giants the lead for good.

The Giants moved to 4-1 on the season with a 27-22 victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Safety and co-captain Xavier McKinney knocked down Rodgers' fourth-down pass from the 6-yard line, forcing a turnover on downs and giving possession back to the Giants with 1:05 remaining. They could not run out the clock, though, so with 14 seconds remaining, punter Jamie Gillan took the snap, ran to his left along the back line of the end zone and then out of bounds for the safety.

The Packers wound up with two chances at a Rodgers Hail Mary from their own 41-yard line, but after a false start, Oshane Ximines sacked Rodgers, forcing a fumble that ended the game.

The Giants went ahead 27-20 on Barkley's 2-yard run on a direct snap that capped a drive on which he took a pass from Jones and scampered 41 yards to get the Giants in striking distance.

Rodgers threw for 222 yards on 25-of-39 passing and two touchdowns.

Barkley's TD was one of three rushing scores for the Giants, who also got a clean and efficient day from Jones (21-27, 217 yards).

At one point in the first half, the Packers looked poised to blow this game open. But as they have done since Brian Daboll and this coaching staff took over, the Giants hang around.

A masterful 15-play, 91-yard drive engineered by Jones that started with a play that resulted in a Barkley shoulder injury ended with a Gary Brightwell touchdown from two yards out. The possession lasted 8 minutes and 7 seconds, and after a Graham Gano point-after kick, the Giants and Packers were tied 20-20.

Barkley missed all but one play on that series, but after the Giants forced a three-and-out, he came back out of the locker room.
