Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence named AFC Player of the Week for second time this season

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after a strong performance against the Tennessee Titans.
Lawrence, 23, threw for 368 yards and three touchdown passes in a 36-22 win in Nashville, and also freelanced on a play near the goal line and scored a 1-yard rushing touchdown.

"Really just making the plays that were there and then some today," Lawrence said after his performance. "Guys came through and had some great catches. You can look at Evan [Engram], Zay [Jones], Ag [Jamal Agnew], all of the field guys making plays.
"It's just cool to see our offense take off like that, especially after somewhat of a rough start ... I think that was the biggest thing. We played complementary. When the defense gave us a takeaway, we scored on it, and we put together some long drives in key moments. End of the first half. Beginning of the second half. Just playing complementary ball. I thought we did a really good job of that."
Lawrence joined Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow as the four players who are two-time winners of AFC Offensive Player of the Week honorees this season.
A three-touchdown performance in a blowout win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3 was the other week Lawrence earned the distinction.
"I thought Trevor [Lawrence], for the limited amount of practice this week, played tough, played physical and played smart," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said after Sunday's victory. "He made some great throws in this football game."
Prior to 2022, the last Jaguars player to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors was quarterback David Garrard in 2010.
In 13 games this season, Lawrence has 20 touchdown passes with six interceptions and a 95.4 passer rating.
