New York Jets coach Todd Bowles might be having second thoughts on sticking with Ryan Fitzpatrick as his starting quarterback.

In the moments after Monday night’s 28-3 loss to Arizona, Bowles said Fitzpatrick would remain his starter.

It became less certain on Tuesday as Bowles talked to reporters.

"First of all, after the game it's always going to be status quo because I'm never going to tell the media anything before I meet with my coaches and my GM and the rest of the staff," said Bowles, according to the New York Daily News. "So everything's status quo until we have our meeting on (Tuesday) evening.”

So Geno Smith, who came in for Fitzpatrick in the fourth quarter on Monday night, has a chance to be named the starter?

“Well, we're going to talk about more than that, but there's a possibility every week that they'll be some changes made players wise," Bowles told the reporters.

The coach was asked if that meant he had revisited his decision to keep Fitzpatrick as the starter.

"I did, and when I discuss it with the staff, and when they know, everybody else will know. If I decide to make a move, (you'll) know tomorrow,” he said.

The Jets, sitting at a disappointing 1-5, host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
