Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick returns to game after hard hit to knee
New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick returned to Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins after briefly exiting following a hard hit to his legs.
Fitzpatrick was hit low in the third quarter by Dolphins defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, who earned a roughing the passer penalty. Fitzpatrick remained on the ground for a short period before meeting with trainers and pointing to his left knee.
Second-year quarterback Bryce Petty entered the game for Fitzpatrick, but the veteran returned later in the third quarter.
Fitzpatrick completed 13 of 21 passes for 124 yards and an interception before leaving the game.
