FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold was ruled out of Sunday's game at the Philadelphia Eagles.
Darnold, who is still recovering from mononucleosis, underwent tests on Thursday that showed his spleen was still not ready for him to be cleared for contact, according to head coach Adam Gase.
Luke Falk will make his second consecutive start at QB. The Jets are also planning to sign David Fales to be their backup quarterback for Sunday, according to Gase.
