"Quinnen is playing at a different level," Jets head coach Robert Saleh said after Sunday's game. "We're only six games in, but he's got to continue that. He's got 11 more left. But, he keeps doing this and there's no reason why he shouldn't be Pro Bowl, All-Pro, all the different accolades you can get. He's playing at that type of level."
This season, Williams is thriving in the Jets defense. He ranks 11th overall with five total sacks and has recorded 20 quarterback pressures.
Williams hot streak could lead to more awards. This could include some at the end of the season in the form of All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections.
However, he knows that each game is another chance to get better.
"Just execute every single play," Williams said. "We always have a play-the-next-play mindset."
The NFL also honored Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Los Angeles Chargers kicker Dustin Hopkins with weekly awards.
On the NFC side, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Tariq Woolen, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota and Minnesota Vikings punter Ryan Wright were all honored as well.
