The New York Jets said they could be looking at a veteran voice to help lead the offense and one such name that has popped up as a possibility was Darrell Bevell.

Bevell is currently the pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Miami Dolphins, who were just eliminated from the playoffs by the Buffalo Bills Sunday.

The Jets now plan to speak with Bevell according to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Bevell has been offensive coordinator for four different teams - Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars. He also has served as interim head coach for the Lions and Jaguars.

Bevell worked with Robert Saleh in Seattle from 2011-2013 when Saleh was a defensive quality control coach for the Seahawks, winning Super Bowl XLVIII together.

The Jets are searching for a new offensive coordinator after parting ways with Mike LaFleur after the season.
