NFL to review Ndamukong Suh's kick on Monday

Ndamukong Suh has some serious explaining to do.

On Monday, the NFL will review the Detroit Lions defensive tackle's gruesome kick to the groin of Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub on Thanksgiving, a top league executive confirmed to Paste BN Sports.

And what happened last Thanksgiving, when Suh stomped on a Green Bay Packers lineman to draw a two-game NFL suspension, won't help his defense.

It's possible that Suh will be disciplined again.

"No judgment has been made," Ray Anderson, the NFL's executive vice president for football operations, told Paste BN Sports. "We'll go through the process. Certainly, a player's history is factored in."

Merton Hanks, a league vice president, will conduct the initial review, Anderson said. Yet Anderson and two other high-ranking league officials, Joel Bussert and Ronnie Hill, will also review the case.

Anderson said the incident -- when Suh's left leg connected with Schaub after a pass was released and as the defensive tackle fell to the turf with a Texans lineman -- will be reviewed from every camera angle available.

Suh, named the NFL's dirtiest player in a poll of players recently conducted by The Sporting News, did not speak to reporters following Detroit's overtime loss. Attempts by Paste BN Sports to reach Suh have been unsuccessful. Suh held a Twitter question-and-answer session Thursday but did not respond to any inquiries about Thursday's incident.

"From my personal point of view, it was unusual, to say the least," Anderson said of the incident. "Don't know if it was a football move I've ever seen."
