The 2024 NFL regular season is over, and while fan favorite teams like the Cincinnati Bengals will not be competing for the Lombardi Trophy this year, there is still plenty of intrigue surrounding the teams that did make it in.

Will the Kansas City Chiefs win their third consecutive Super Bowl after claiming the AFC's top seed? Are the Buffalo Bills finally primed for a deep playoff run? Can Lamar Jackson take that next step toward a championship? Can anyone stop the Detroit Lions in the NFC?

These are the questions that have fans wondering who to back when push comes to shove. With how crowded the AFC is, it is hard to confidently predict a winner in that conference. On the other hand, outside of the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams, there aren't really any teams in the NFC with proven track records in big games.

Here is every playoff team's odds as we approach the first weekend of the postseason. All odds via BetMGM.

Super Bowl 59 odds:

The favorites:

1) Detroit Lions: +280

2) Kansas City Chiefs: +350

3t) Buffalo Bills: +600

3t) Baltimore Ravens: +600

5) Philadelphia Eagles: +700

The Buffalo Bills were the only team capable of beating the Kansas City Chiefs this year. That alone should put them in contention for AFC representation. They draw a very winnable matchup in the opening round against Denver. However, their second round matchup, likely against Baltimore could prove their downfall. If they can get past the Ravens, sky is the limit for this team.

The contenders:

6) Minnesota Vikings: +1600

7) Green Bay Packers: +1800

8) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: +3000

9t) Los Angeles Chargers: +3500

9t) Los Angeles Rams: +3500

9t) Washington Commanders: +3500

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers might have struggled to win the NFC South, but they did beat the Detroit Lions earlier this year. They are a sneaky scary offense that can go toe-to-toe with the best in the league, and that could be enough to carry them deep in the playoffs.

The dark horses:

12t) Houston Texans: +8000

12t) Denver Broncos: +8000

14) Pittsburgh Steelers: +10000

Of these three teams, the Broncos are the only team that isn't falling apart as we speak. Does that mean they are a god bet to win the Super Bowl? Not at all. A first-round matchup against Buffalo would be enough to send any team plummeting down the odds boards. Even after that matchup, should they pull off a miracle, they'd be dragged through the AFC, attempting to defeat other teams more talented and more playoff-proven on the road throughout the entirety of the playoffs. Avoid these teams at all costs.
