Panthers DE Jared Allen injures foot in win over Seahawks
CHARLOTTE — Carolina Panthers defensive end Jared Allen suffered a foot injury during Sunday’s 31-24 divisional-round playoff victory over the Seattle Seahawks. It will likely require surgery, The Charlotte Observer reported.
It remains to be seen whether Allen has a chance to play through the injury for the Panthers, who host the Arizona Cardinals in next Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.
Allen, 33, has two sacks in 12 regular-season games with the Panthers, who acquired him early in the season in a trade with the Chicago Bears.
Kony Ealy, who started nine games during the regular season, could take Allen's place in the lineup.
