Panthers CB Jaycee Horn will not play against Buccaneers

In somewhat of a shocker, the Carolina Panthers announced that cornerback Jaycee Horn will not be active for today’s matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Horn, who missed last Sunday’s loss to the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams, has been dealing with a rib injury. The second-year defender was limited during the first two practices of the week but returned in full for the third and final session on Friday.

Horn has 17 tackles, four passes defended and one interception this season. He has made five starts and played 90% of the defensive snaps in four games.
Luckily for the defense, they will have cornerback Donte Jackson and linebacker Frankie Luvu up against Tom Brady’s bunch.
Luvu, who is tied for the second-highest tackle total on the team, had not played in Carolina’s previous two games due to a shoulder issue.

The offense, as expected, will not have usual starting quarterback Baker Mayfield in uniform. As he continues to heal from a high-ankle sprain, PJ Walker will get his second straight nod with Jacob Eason as his backup.
The full list of Panthers' inactives include Horn, Mayfield, DE Henry Anderson, LB Chandler Wooten and DT Matt Ioannidis.
