Michael Floyd among Patriots' inactives vs. Steelers

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Michael Floyd won’t be dropping any passes this week.
The New England Patriots wide receiver is inactive for Sunday night’s AFC Championship Game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, a week after his dropped pass on a rare Tom Brady interception.
The Patriots claimed Floyd off waivers last month after the Arizona Cardinals cut ties following Floyd’s DUI arrest. They’d hoped he’d bolster both their depth and experience, with Floyd having played in the NFC Championship Game last year. But he had a rough outing in the Jan. 14 divisional game against Houston, catching just one pass for 9 yards. Another off-target ball went through his hands and into those of Texans cornerback A.J. Bouye for just the third interception of the season for Brady.
Brady would throw another later in the first half, equaling his total from the regular season.
Also among the inactives was Pittsburgh tight end Ladarius Green, who has been out since suffering a concussion Dec. 18. Green was able to practice Wednesday and Friday, but Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Friday he still needed to be cleared by an independent neurologist.
