When is the NFC championship game?

The date, time and ways to watch the third-to-last game of the 2024-25 NFL postseason have already been finalized. All that's left to determine is who's playing in the game and where it will be.

The NFC teams that made it to the divisional round – the Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams and Washington Commanders – play this weekend to compete for a spot in the NFC championship game. The winners this weekend will be one victory away from a conference title and a trip to New Orleans for Super Bowl 59. The higher seed of the two conference finalists will host the title game.

Here's what we know about the NFC championship game so far:

When is the NFC championship game? Date, time, TV channel

  • Date: Sunday, Jan. 26
  • Time: 3 p.m. ET
  • Location: TBD; could be Detroit's Ford Field, Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field or Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium
  • TV channel: Fox
  • Streaming: Fubo; Fox Sports app

The 2025 NFC championship game will kick off at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, Jan. 26. Fox holds the broadcast rights to the game, so fans can tune in to their local Fox affiliate to watch the game.

Viewers who prefer to stream the game can do so with a subscription to Fubo, a streaming service that offers live TV and sports without a cable subscription.

The highest remaining seed after the divisional round will host the NFC championship game. Since the Washington Commanders are the lowest seed left in the NFC bracket, they're the only remaining team in the conference that can't host the conference championship.
