Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch can expect a hefty fine, and possibly a suspension, stemming from his ejection from Thursday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, an NFL spokesman said Friday morning.

Lynch could be fined for multiple rule violations, including making physical contact with an official ($30,387), unsportsmanlike conduct ($12,154) and unnecessarily entering the fight area ($6,076). A suspension is also possible.

“All of this is being reviewed now at the league offices,” spokesman Joe Lockhart said.

Lynch left the Raiders' bench after a scrum started between multiple Raiders offensive linemen and Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters, following Peters’ hit on Oakland quarterback Derek Carr. Lynch appeared to be trying to get between his teammates and Peters, who is a close friend and fellow Oakland native.

Lynch pushed away an official who was trying to remove Lynch from the scrum. That contact led to Lynch’s ejection.

Photos posted on social media late Thursday night showed Lynch sitting in the stands at the Oakland Coliseum, and later, riding public transportation away from the stadium. The Raiders shocked the Chiefs 31-30.

Lockhart said it would be up to the Raiders to decide if Lynch would receive any punishment for leaving the locker room after he was ejected.
