Oakland Raiders fined for injury report infraction with Kelechi Osemele, per report
The Oakland Raiders have been fined $20,000 by the NFL for violating the league's injury report policy, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Offensive guard Kelechi Osemele, who was dealing with a knee ailment, did not make the trip to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5 but was not downgraded from questionable to out despite his absence.
The Raiders fell to the Chargers 26-10. Osemele also missed the ensuing week's game, a 27-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in London, though he did make the trip.
The NFL is also investigating the Miami Dolphins' reporting of quarterback Ryan Tannehill's shoulder injury, according to multiple reports Wednesday.
After the team said Tannehill suffered a shoulder injury in a Week 5 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the starter was listed as a full participant in both last Wednesday and Thursday's practices. But head coach Adam Gase said Brock Osweiler took first-team reps on Thursday, which means Tannehill should have been listed as limited, as NFL injury report rules dictate a full participant take 100 percent of the snaps.
Tannehill was listed as questionable but was ruled out for the Dolphins' overtime win against the Chicago Bears. He also has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
