This weekend the Las Vegas Raiders were on their bye and it offered the perfect opportunity for Fresno State to schedule the ceremony to retire the No. 15 jersey of Davante Adams.

The montage the team put out to announce Adams’s jersey retirement ceremony went through his entire career, starting with the insane numbers he put up at Fresno State with Derek Carr as his quarterback.

That led to his becoming a round two pick by the Green Bay Packers where he continued displaying his supreme talents as Aaron Rodgers’s number one target the past six seasons.

Then on to Adams coming full circle, returning to team up with Carr in Las Vegas with the Raiders this season.

Here is the moment Adams’ jersey number was retired along with what he had to say immediately afterward as captured by Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee.

"It means the world," he said. "I'm looking across at people that I'm in great company with. I mean, it's just an unbelievable feeling. I love everything about Fresno, the time that I had here, just the memories that I was able to create, creating more now coming back and being able to share this with the fans. Man, it's awesome."

Fresno State’s twitter account also put out a short video which combined snippets of the ceremony with Adams’s highlight tape.

As you can see, Adams’ No. 15 was revealed right alongside Carr’s No. 4. Carr was on hand for the ceremony — after all, it’s his bye week too — to support his long time friend, former Bulldogs teammates, and current Raiders teammate.
