Raiders QB Derek Carr gets emotional in press conference after Week 10 loss to Colts
Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders are having a rough go of it in 2022.
The quarterback met with the media after Sunday’s 25-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Vegas left his team in last place in the AFC West at 2-7.
Carr got emotional, and teary, saying how much he loves first-year head coach Josh McDaniels and the staff.
"They have had nothing but success, way more success than I’ve ever had," Carr said. "I’m sorry.”
Carr spoke at length about his and his teammates' effort this season but lamented the team's consistent losing results. However, he seemed to be critical of the effort being put forth by some in the Raiders' locker room.
"What we put our bodies through just to sleep at night," Carr said. "And for that to be the result of all that effort, it pisses me off. Pisses a lot of the guys off. It's hard knowing what some guys are doing.
"... And I wish everybody in that room felt the same way about this place."
