Construction on SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, has been temporarily halted after a worker on-site died from a fall while working on the building Friday morning, the Los Angeles Times reported. The fall was from 50 to 60 feet high in the southwest corner of the stadium.
ESPN has also confirmed the report, saying the worker fell from a roof.
SoFi Stadium, future home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers, was slated to open in July for Taylor Swift's tour, but she postponed the two shows. Two other concert cancellations have made Rams-Saints the first event on the calendar, opening the preseason on Aug. 14.
When the stadium is completed, it's expected to cost more than $5 billion, the most expensive stadium in the NFL.
