Rams DC Raheem Morris reunites with family after saving 3-year-old boy from drowning

Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris reunited with the family of a boy that he helped save from drowning in Las Vegas last month.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, Morris was at the Encore Las Vegas with his family when he saw a three-year-old boy, named Wyatt, drowning in the hotel pool.

The boy was brought to the lifeguard after being pulled from the pool by his father, while Morris went in search of an automatic external defibrillator (AED).

"I'm sitting down and my kids all scream, I see Wyatt laying poolside and he's blue," Morris told ABC's "Good Morning America." "I just wanted to help, and I could just feel the panic of it all. And I looked to the lifeguard and I said, 'Where is the AED machine?'"

Morris has said the team recently went through training to cover first aid, CPR, and AED use, so he was familiar with the protocols.

The boy was taken out of the pool by his father and brought over to the lifeguard. Morris and another person at the pool, who happened to be a doctor, went into action.

Dr. Andrew Oleksyn started compressions, while Morris administered the AED.

Wyatt's mother, Kelseigh Stanley, said her son was discharged from the hospital and recovering.

"It's hard to say what exactly his future is going to be because he was under the water for so long," Kelseigh Stanley said. "We are truly so happy that Raheem was there and Dr. Andrew was there. God placed them all directly where they needed to be."
