Rams playoff picture: Odds, remaining schedule, NFC West division standings

The 2024 NFL season has been full of ups and downs for the Los Angeles Rams.
The Sean McVay-led team started the season 1-4 with three one-score losses. Since Week 5, they're 4-1 with three one-score wins.
Most of the Rams' recent success correlates directly with the return of a couple of key players.
Leading wide receivers Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, who went down with injuries in Weeks 1 and 2, respectively, didn't return until Los Angeles' Week 8 home game against the Vikings. The Rams have won three of their last four games since then – including that matchup with Minnesota – with the two receivers combining for 679 yards and four touchdowns in that span.
Fortunately for Los Angeles, the rest of the teams in the NFC West have had similarly shaky seasons. So, despite a 5-5 record entering Week 12, the Rams are by no means out of the playoff race just yet.
Rams playoff odds
BetMGM Sportsbook has set the Rams' odds to make the playoffs at +310. The sportsbook also offers odds for Los Angeles to miss the playoffs at -400.
BetMGM's odds imply a 24.4% chance of making the postseason.
Rams remaining schedule
According to Tankathon, with seven games left to play, Los Angeles has the 11th-hardest schedule remaining. Their upcoming opponents have a combined record of 39-29, good for a .542 win percentage.
In addition to three divisional games remaining against each NFC West team, the Rams will have to face a couple of tough opponents in the next three weeks. Los Angeles has to face two teams contending for the top seed in their respective conferences: the Eagles and the Bills. Once the Rams get through that, three of their final four games are against divisional opponents.
Here's who the Rams will face over the final seven weeks:
- Week 12: vs. Philadelphia Eagles (8-2)
- Week 13: at New Orleans Saints (4-7)
- Week 14: vs. Buffalo Bills (9-2)
- Week 15: at San Francisco 49ers (5-5)
- Week 16: at New York Jets (3-8)
- Week 17: vs. Arizona Cardinals (6-4)
- Week 18: vs. Seattle Seahawks (5-5)
NFC West standings
The Rams are currently in a three-way tie for second place in their division, and all three teams are just one game behind the first-place Cardinals.
What's good news for Los Angeles is that it has already defeated two of the other three teams in the division, with the Cardinals being the only exception. If the Rams can make it through the tough non-divisional games ahead relatively unscathed, they'll have a chance to make a push for the division title.
It's a tight race in the NFC West entering Week 12:
- Arizona Cardinals (6-4)
- Los Angeles Rams (5-5)
- Seattle Seahawks (5-5)
- San Francisco 49ers (5-5)
BetMGM has the Rams tied for third in betting odds to win the division at +550. The Seahawks have the same odds as Los Angeles, while the 49ers are at +325 and the Cardinals are the odds-on favorites at -120.
