John Harbaugh agrees to contract extension with Ravens

DENVER -- Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh has agreed to a multiyear contract extension, two people with knowledge of the deal told Paste BN Sports on Thursday night.

The people spoke on condition of anonymity because the contract had not been announced.

The deal was done months ago, one of the people said, but the Ravens didn't announce it. It's expected to run through 2016 and make Harbaugh, 50, one of the NFL's highest-paid coaches.

Harbaugh led the Ravens to the Super Bowl in his fifth season and is 63-30, including 9-4 in five postseason appearances. He had been under contract through 2014 as part of a three-year extension signed in 2011.
