Terrell Suggs fined by NFL for wearing gladiator helmet
Terrell Suggs has to pay up for the pre-game statement of wearing a gladiator helmet before the prime time clash against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week.
The Baltimore Ravens linebacker has been fined $5,512 by the NFL for violating the league's uniform code, a league spokesman confirmed to Paste BN Sports.
Call it a nice prop that came with a cost.
Yet while Suggs made a loud statement signifying his mentality when entering M&T Bank Stadium for the game against the division rival, it was hardly the biggest fine handed out for Week 2 incidents.
Other fines confirmed by the league:
-- Indianapolis Colts linebacker Jonathan Newsome was fined $22,050 for a blindside block.
-- New York Jets defensive tackle Muhammad Wilkerson was docked $20,000 for his ejection at Green Bay.
-- St. Louis Rams linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar was fined $16,537 for roughing the passer.
-- San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Quinton Dial was fined $16,537 for roughing the passer.
Also, as previously reported, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was fined $11,025 for unsportsmanlike conduct stemming from abusive language.
