Baltimore Ravens HC John Harbaugh says RB Gus Edwards is 'getting close' to a return

The Baltimore Ravens' run game has been a work in progress through the first five weeks of the 2022 NFL regular season. Quarterback Lamar Jackson has accounted for the vast majority of the team's offensive yards.
The Ravens will need others to step up on the ground if they want to achieve their goals.
One of the players Baltimore hopes to get back soon is running back Gus Edwards, who tore his ACL prior to the start of the 2021 season. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh gave an update on his status Friday.
"He's doing well," he said. "He looks good, it's just a matter of when is he really ready to play at a high level. I do believe he's getting close."
Baltimore saw running back J.K. Dobbins return from his ACL injury earlier this season, and he has increased his workload every week.
Edwards could be on the same trajectory from a timeline perspective. The duo of Dobbins and Edwards was a deadly force during the 2020 season, combining for 1,528 yards and 15 touchdowns.
