J.K. Dobbins on knee procedure: 'I'd rather be all the way 100% going into the playoffs'

The Baltimore Ravens have gotten many key pieces back over the course of the 2022 season. One of them was running back J.K. Dobbins, who took the field in Week 3 for the first time since tearing his Achilles right before the 2021 season began.
Dobbins was working his way back into the swing of things when he ended up opting for another surgery on his knee.

He discussed his current injury situation with WJZ Sports, saying that he'd rather be at 100% going into the playoffs as opposed to rushing back, and also shut down rumors that he ended up re-injuring that same knee.
"I'd rather be all the way 100% going into the playoffs, towards the end of the year so I can really do what I need to do to help the team win," Dobbins said.
This season, Dobbins appeared in four games. He rushed for 123 yards and one touchdown. The Ravens placed him on injured reserve in an effort to help the recovery process.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told reporters in October that Dobbins had some issues with his range of motion regarding his scar tissue. He echoed Dobbins' sentiment that the NFL veteran wanted the procedure.
"He wanted to do it; he didn't want to go the slow road," Harbaugh said. "If it doesn't work 100%, then he's kind of on the slow road again. He's making progress. So, there's no new injury or anything like that; he just wanted to take a shot at speeding up the process."
Dobbins is an explosive player that can make an impact in multiple different ways.
His return to the field will be welcome by his teammate and coaches alike, and should help continue to spark a Ravens ground game that has found its stride over the last handful of games.
