Former TE Ed Dickson officially retires from NFL as Raven

The Baltimore Ravens have had a lot of players go in and out of their organization, with many enjoying their time as members of the franchise. There have been some who have decided to retire as a member of the Ravens, and recently another player added his name to that list.
Former Baltimore tight end Ed Dickson officially hung up his cleats from the NFL on Thursday, and decided to do it in Baltimore as a member of the Ravens. The ten-year veteran was a member of the team's Super Bowl XLVII team where he had two receptions for 37 yards. He was a third-round selection in the 2010 draft out the University of Oregon.
"Moving onto the next chapter," Dickson, who is married and a father of four, said in a team statement. "I debated on going back for a while, but I was like, 'No, I've still got decent health.' So I put the cleats away to be a fan."
Dickson also played for the Carolina Panthers and spent one season with the Seattle Seahawks after spending four years with Baltimore. His last NFL appearance was in 2018 before he suffered a knee inj
He finished his career with 190 receptions for 2,128 yards and 15 touchdowns.
