Ravens DL Calais Campbell hopes QB Lamar Jackson will stay in Baltimore
The Baltimore Ravens saw their 2022 season come to a disappointing end in the playoffs, losing to the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card round by the final score of 24-17. That outcome could have been different had Baltimore had quarterback Lamar Jackson, but the fifth-year signal caller missed every game past Week 13 after suffering a PCL sprain.
When asked if he hopes Jackson is back with the organization, Ravens defensive lineman Calais Campbell told reporters that it would be in the best interest of the franchise to bring him back.

He talked about how special of a talent Jackson is, saying that whenever the quarterback is on the field, you know his team has a chance.
"Yes, yes. You can't let a guy like him go," Campbell said. "I know it's football and there's always some new exciting toy, a new exciting kid that has potential to go out there and be great, but this is a for sure, a known. You know Lamar Jackson is an incredible player. I think it's in the best interest of the Ravens organization to give him a long-term contract and make him our guy. I know the front office is feeling the same thing.
"They're smart guys. They've built teams that are always competing for a reason, so I'm sure it's going to get done, but you never know. You have to take it one day at a time. Lamar Jackson is a star; he deserves to be paid like it and deserves the opportunity to lead his teams to hopefully multiple championships. As long as he's on the field, you know your team has a chance."
Jackson is facing questions about his future in Baltimore, as is Campbell. Both returning to the Ravens seems like the ideal scenario for the organization, but time will tell what happens as the offseason progresses.
