Seahawks CB Jeremy Lane ejected after clash with Packers WR Davante Adams

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Jeremy Lane’s season opener lasted for less than six minutes.

The Seattle Seahawks cornerback was ejected for allegedly throwing a punch during Nazair Jones’ runback of an Aaron Rodgers interception.

Lane tangled with Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams while blocking on the return.

Jones scampered to the end zone for what might have been a pick-six of roughly 70 yards, but although the defensive tackle’s interception stood, the touchdown was nullified by two penalties. On top of Lane’s personal foul (which was declined), linebacker Bobby Wagner was flagged for an illegal block on Rodgers.

Lane was replaced in the lineup by rookie Shaquill Griffin, the third-round pick from Central Florida.
