Seahawks, Pete Carroll agree to contract extension, per report

The NFL's oldest coach appears to be sticking around for at least a few more seasons.
Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a multi-year contact extension, according to ESPN. The report — which had no one in the organization confirming the extension — said the deal had been reached "long before their game Sunday in Buffalo" and will make the 69-year-old one of the highest-paid coaches in the league, while keeping him in Seattle through the 2025 season.
Over 11 seasons with the Seahawks, Carroll has led the organization to a pair of Super Bowl appearances, winning one; four NFC West titles and eight playoff berths. He is the winningest coach in franchise history with a 106-60-1 record.
Seattle is currently 6-1 and sits atop the division, arguably one of football's most difficult in 2020.
