Steelers WR Antonio Brown tries to 'quiet the noise' - on Facebook Live, of course

Pittsburgh Steelers Antonio Brown was back on Facebook Live in a video where dismissed talk that his pouting during Sunday’s 36-17 loss to the New England Patriots created more animus.

“I wanted to check in with you and quiet the noise,” Brown said from a private plane in the video posted on Wednesday. “There’s been a lot of reports and a lot of people saying different things, but you guys know the truth. I’m excited. I’m looking forward to next year. The process of getting better starts now.”

Brown’s Facebook Live video after the Steelers’ beat the Kansas City Chiefs to advance to the AFC title game caught head coach Mike Tomlin use profanity as he talked about the Patriots.  Tomlin disciplined Brown internally, according to multiple published reports.

On top of the sideshow that the video created, NFL Network reported that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had to confront Brown about “pouting” during Sunday’s loss. Roethlisberger said in a radio interview this week that he “didn’t remember” addressing Brown.

“We wouldn’t be where we are without him,” Roethlisberger told 93.7 The Fan. “I think (the distractions) overshadows the extra stuff, the hands up, the arms up, the frustrations, the pouting and stuff like that. He’s a great football player and will continue to grow as we all need to.”
