If you make a list of the best cornerbacks in the history of the Pittsburgh Steelers, you don't have to go far before you get to Ike Taylor, the team's fifth leading tackler. Taylor announced on the Pat McAfee Show on Thursday he was returning to the Steelers as a scout.

"Scouting has always been a dream of mine," he said, noting that while he was a player, he participated in scouting activities, sitting in on meetings and even draft day with head coach Mike Tomlin and former general manager Kevin Colbert.

"I always thought I had an eye for it. Obviously they think I have an eye for it," he continued. "I just gotta button up on the grading scale and exactly how the Pittsburgh Steelers now want to do it with the new GM Omar Khan. So yeah man, that's where I'm at. I'm super excited."

Pittsburgh drafted Taylor out of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL draft. He spent all 12 of his NFL seasons with the Steelers and won two Super Bowls with the team.

Taylor started 140 games for Pittsburgh and brings a wealth of experience to the scouting department. Taylor has always been passionate about this team, even after he retired from the league after the 2014 season.
