Steelers QB Kenny Pickett already lobbying for team to draft WR Jordan Addison
Wide receiver Jordan Addison caught 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 receiving touchdowns during the 2021 season at the University of Pittsburgh. The quarterback throwing to him was none other than Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett.
It sounds as though Pickett wants to get the band back together.
Pickett was on the Pat McAfee Show and made it pretty clear he'd like to see his old teammate back with him. "I'm excited to see where he ends up," Pickett said. "Hopefully in the black and gold."
Addison transferred from Pitt and played last season at USC where he caught 59 passes for 875 yards and eight touchdowns. Addison opted to forgo his final season of eligibility and enter the 2023 NFL draft. Addison has a ridiculous skill set that wasn't fully utilized at USC. A strong case could be made he and Pickett were the most dynamic tandem in all of college football in 2021.
The rub is the Steelers already have two very talented wide receivers in Diontae Johnson and George Pickens and drafting Addison would require using a first-round pick.
