Super Bowl start time: Kickoff, game date, location, what you need to know
The stage is set for the 2025 Super Bowl where the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will meet for the second time in three years.
It will be the fifth Super Bowl appearance for Andy Reid's Chiefs in the past six seasons.
Super Bowl 59 will also mark the fourth instance of a quarterback rematch in the big game. Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts squared off in Super Bowl 57 where Kansas City celebrated in the confetti after a 38-35 victory.
In the prior rematches of signal callers in Super Bowl history, the winning quarterback walked away victorious in each rematch. Eli Manning's Giants beat Tom Brady's Patriots, Troy Aikman's Cowboys took down Jim Kelly's Bills and Terry Bradshaw's Steelers defeated Roger Staubach's Cowboys in those instances.
The Super Bowl is almost here and the party is almost underway in New Orleans. The Big Easy will deliver history on the second Sunday in February, whether it's the Chiefs becoming the first three-peat Super Bowl champions or Jalen Hurts becoming the first quarterback to win in a rematch.

Super Bowl 2025 start time
The 2025 Super Bowl kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET (5:30 p.m. CT, 3:30 p.m. PT).
The pregame festivities occur throughout the day, so you'll want to tune in earlier to catch the national anthem, team introductions and more.
The kickoff time has remained relatively unchanged over the years. Thanks to the presence of time zones, the 6 p.m. ET hour has become the sweet spot for capturing audiences around the world.
Super Bowl 2025 date
The Super Bowl in 2025 will be played on Feb. 9.
The first 35 Super Bowls were all played in January before transitioning to a February event. After that, it became a mainstay on the first weekend in February, but thanks to the expanded NFL regular season it has moved deeper into the month in recent years.
Super Bowl location
The 2025 Super Bowl will be at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
The Superdome, home of the Saints, has undergone renovations in recent years. The $560 million transformation was completed before the 2024 regular season.
This is the eighth time the venue will host the Super Bowl. Most recently, in 2013, the Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers, 34-31, in Super Bowl 47.

The Super Bowl in 2025 will air on Fox.
Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady, the network's top NFL commentary team, will be on the call. Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi will be reporting from the sidelines.
