The NFL has systematically developed the Super Bowl into one of the greatest yearly entertainment spectacles, and it isn't just because of the on-field action.

Sure, many NFL fans tune in to watch the AFC and NFC champions square off to determine the league's champion. That said, many tune in solely to catch the vocal performances that happen throughout the evening.

The biggest display comes during the Super Bowl halftime show, a prestigious event in which many of the world's top musical acts have performed. It's also an honor to perform as a part of the pregame ceremonies, which will be viewed by about 100 million people around the world.

Which musical acts are a part of the Super Bowl lineup in 2025? Here's what to know about the singers and musicians who will be in action during the pregame festivities and halftime show.

Who is singing at the Super Bowl 2025?

Super Bowl 59 will feature several musical acts throughout the evening, most notably the halftime show and the anthem singer. Here's a look at all of the musicians scheduled to perform before and during the game:

  • National Anthem: Jon Batiste
  • "America The Beautiful": Lauren Daigle and Trombone Shorty
  • "Lift Every Voice and Sing": Ledisi
  • Halftime show: Kendrick Lamar and guest SZA

More guests may be added to the lineup ahead of the Super Bowl 59 halftime show, but it isn't clear whether they will be announced or treated as a surprise.

Who is Jon Batiste?

Batiste is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who notably appeared nightly on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert from 2015-22 with his band "Stay Human." The Louisiana native has won five Grammy Awards, including an Album of the Year win for "We Are" in 2021.

Batiste also co-composed the music for the Disney/Pixar movie "Soul" along with with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross and recently composed the music for the movie "Saturday Night." He also is the subject of a documentary film "American Symphony," which chronicles his efforts in producing his first-ever symphony.

Who is Lauren Daigle?

Daigle is a Christian pop singer and songwriter who has won two Grammy Awards. She has had four songs reach No. 1 on the Hot Christian Songs chart, most notably "You Say," which peaked at 29 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Like Batiste, Daigle is a Louisiana native. She also performed the National Anthem at the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship Game, which was held in New Orleans.

Who is Trombone Shorty?

Troy Andrews, who goes by the stage name of "Trombone Shorty," is a trombone player from New Orleans. He has toured with numerous acts including Aerosmith, the Foo Fighters, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and more. He also performed at the 2014 Grammy Awards and twice appeared at the White House during Barack Obama's presidency.

Who is Ledisi?

Ledisi is a singer, songwriter, music producer and actress who is from New Orleans. She is a two-time Grammy Award nominee, earning a Best New Artist nomination in 2007 for her album "Lost and Found" and seeing her song "Anything for You" take home the Best Traditional R&B Performance honors in 2020.

Ledisi has released 11 albums and played Mahalia Jackson in the 2014 film "Selma," which was nominated for Best Picture at the 2014 Academy Awards.

Who is Kendrick Lamar?

Kendrick Lamar is a rapper who is set to perform the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show. The 37-year-old has won 17 Grammy Awards, which presently ranks as the third-most ever by a rapper, and has seen five of his albums reach No. 1 overall on the Billboard 200 chart.

Kendrick has seen five songs reach No. 1 overall on Billboard's Hot 100. That includes "Bad Blood" – a Taylor Swift remix on which he was featured – "Humble," "Squabble Up," "Like That" and "They Not Like Us," which notably was released amid the rapper's feud with Drake.

Kendrick also created songs for the 2018 "Black Panther" soundtrack and saw "All the Stars," which he performed with SZA, earn an Academy Award nomination.

Who is SZA?

SZA is a four-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter who will be performing with Lamar at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show. She has collaborated with him on "All the Stars" and on the rapper's most recent album, "GNX."

SZA has two No. 1 singles to her name – "Kill Bill" and "Slime You Out," which was made in collaboration with Drake. She also had a featured appearance on Doja Cat's "Kiss Me More" in 2018 and just made her featured film debut in "One of Them Days," which was produced by Issa Rae.
