Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl predictions: Who wins the 2025 Super Bowl?

The 2024 NFL season kicked off back on Sept. 5 with a matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens. Five months later, it's time to decide the NFL champions of the season.
Kansas City won the season opener over Baltimore and proceeded to set a franchise record with 15 wins in the regular season. That earned them a first-round bye and home-field advantage through the playoffs. The Chiefs knocked off the Houston Texans and the Buffalo Bills en route to their third consecutive Super Bowl berth.
With a win, the Chiefs would become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls. This is their fifth appearance in the Super Bowl with quarterback Patrick Mahomes. They're 3-1 in the prior four championship games.
They'll take on the Philadelphia Eagles once again for the title. The Eagles are back in the Super Bowl after squaring off with Kansas City two years ago for the championship. Since then, Philadelphia's brought in two new coordinators and signed Saquon Barkley, who became the ninth player in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards.
It's another Super Bowl rematch in New Orleans. Here's what the latest predictions say about who will win this matchup.
2025 Super Bowl predictions roundup
Dave Rivera, NorthJersey.com: Chiefs 29, Eagles 27
Rivera writes: "Of course it has to be a one-score game, which has been the Chiefs' winning way this entire season. Anticipating another classic meeting between these two teams with Mahomes leading the Chiefs' final drive to a game-winning field goal. We'll see one home run touchdown by Saquon Barkley − and yet another 100-yard game for the Eagles superstar − but in the end, the Chiefs make NFL history by becoming the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls."
Judy Battista, NFL.com: Chiefs 28, Eagles 24
Battista says: "The Eagles look like the more complete, balanced team, but it's impossible to pick against the Chiefs in this situation. Steve Spagnuolo will figure out a way to limit the damage from Saquon Barkley, and Patrick Mahomes will get enough support from bit players (as he did in the AFC Championship Game) to complete the three-peat and make history."
CBS Sports: Eagles 31, Chiefs 24
Garrett Podell says: "The last time the Eagles faced the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, their lead back Miles Sanders hurt their cause, rushing for 16 yards on seven carries while also fumbling. Barkley proves one more time that he's Philadelphia's missing piece by powering the Eagles to a Super Bowl LIX triumph as their bell cow back."
Fox Sports: Chiefs 27, Eagles 24
Chris Fallica writes: "We have the best roster vs. the best quarterback and coach. With that, I'm just gonna have to go with pedigree in this one. The Chiefs know how to win, and more importantly, they know how to win close. So, unless the Eagles can blow out Kansas City, I have to believe Mahomes and Reid will find a way to pull it off."
