While the numbers might speak to it, Chris Jones remains a force to be reckoned with in the trenches on the defensive line for the Kansas City Chiefs.

And if the Chiefs want to create history in Super Bowl 59, they will need Jones once again to be a dominant force against the Philadelphia Eagles offensive line on Sunday at Caesars Superdome.

The six-time All-Pro defensive lineman is back in his fifth Super Bowl in a span of six seasons on Sunday — a feat that sent him into an array of emotions, including crying, after the Chiefs' AFC championship win over the Buffalo Bills on the field.

"Tonight was one of the biggest games I ever played, just what's at stake and the opportunity to go back three times to the Super Bowl," Jones told ESPN's Scott Van Pelt. "Just the magnitude of that, you can't really take it in until it's over. You've got so many emotions running through.

"To be able to get to that point and go three times, (win) back-to-back (Super Bowls), five AFC championships, God is good."

With that said, here's a look back at his college career at Mississippi State:

Where did Chris Jones play college football?

Jones, who was a touted prospect coming out of high school, stayed in his home state to play college football, as he attended Mississippi State from 2013 through 2015.

The Houston, Mississippi native didn't take long to make an impact on the Bulldogs as he recorded a team-best 10 quarterback hurries on top of seven tackles for loss and three sacks.

He declared for the NFL draft following his junior season, where he recorded 44 tackles (7.5 tackles for loss), four broken-up passes and 2.5 sacks. The Chiefs took the 6-foot-6 defensive lineman with the 37th overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.
