The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to overcome a 27-0 deficit in Super Bowl 59 against the Philadelphia Eagles. They may have to do it without one of their top defenders.

Star defensive tackle Chris Jones suffered an apparent knee injury in the third quarter of the NFL's championship game.

Jones was rushing the passer when he pulled up lame. He tried to jog off the field but ultimately fell to the ground, seeking medical attention.

Jones appeared to be fiddling with a brace on his right knee before the Fox broadcast cut to a commercial. He was shown being tended to by medical staff when the broadcast returned, but he was not yet in the blue medical tent.

The Chiefs were able to stop the Eagles on the third-and-goal following Jones' departure, so he didn't return to the game immediately.

Kansas City did not immediately provide an update on Jones' status for the remainder of the game. However, the dominant defensive linemen returned to the game on the Chiefs next drive.
