How much does Jalen Hurts squat? Eagles QB was once viral for weight room prowess

Jalen Hurts is one of the most powerful quarterbacks in NFL history, with double-digit rushing touchdowns in four consecutive seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The 6-foot-1 quarterback also drove in a 1-yard rushing score in the first half of Super Bowl 59 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, further showing his strength that has been one of his defining traits since his college career at Alabama and Oklahoma.
It's no surprise the Eagles' famous "Tush Push" is so successful, given Hurts' prowess in the weight room, as well.
Hurts, a member of his high school power lifting team, has gone viral in recent years due to his ridiculous weightlifting strength.
Here's a look back at Hurts' viral squatting moments, which have become a staple in his career:
How much does Jalen Hurts squat?
Hurts, who perhaps has put on even more strength since he was in college, squatted up to 600 pounds in his final season of college football at Oklahoma.
Hurts even squatted 570 pounds in high school, according to AL.com. It's safe to say the quarterback with a whopping 55 rushing touchdowns in five NFL seasons is built a little different than most.
Hurts even got a workout in during Oklahoma's win against South Dakota in 2019, as Hurts was pulled at halftime due to leading a big halftime lead. He said he felt like he needed to get more work in with the limited snaps.
"I had something on my mind so I got it off my chest and went and got some work in," Hurts said.
Hurts apparently also squatted as much as former Eagles center Jason Kelce last year, an impressive feat given Kelce plays offensive line and weighed nearly 100 pounds more than Hurts.
"What's funny is Jason Kelce gives me a hard time about (squatting)," Hurts said on ESPN's "ManningCast" in 2022. "Sometimes, he catches me squatting the same amount of weight he's squatting in the weight room. And he's like, 'What are you doing this for?'"
Jalen Hurts 40-yard dash time
Hurts ran a 4.59-second 40-yard dash at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine, which is an impressive mark in general, let alone as a 223-pound quarterback.
