There's no privacy at the NFL's ballot box. That's especially true at the Super Bowl.

If you go rogue, everyone will know it – sooner or later.

The Philadelphia Eagles have already claimed the Lombardi Trophy. Jalen Hurts has already taken his trip to Disney World as Super Bowl MVP.

There's no going back now, but the voters have made their choice clear just days after the confetti settled in New Orleans at Super Bowl 59.

Hurts took home 12 of the 20 votes for the game's MVP, which left some wiggle room for a couple of Eagles' defenders to sneak onto the imaginary podium as runners-up.

  • Fan voting on NFL.com: 2.5 for Cooper DeJean, 1.0 for Jalen Hurts, 0.5 for Josh Sweat

Cooper DeJean and Josh Sweat also received votes for their role in the Super Bowl blowout. While the MVP has almost become the most valuable quarterback over the years, it was somewhat of a surprise that a defensive player didn't win the award.

The Eagles completely shut down a Kansas City Chiefs offense in a way that very few have been able to do. It was a performance reminiscent of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' in Super Bowl 59. Tampa's defense obliterated the Kansas City offensive line, making life miserable for Patrick Mahomes.

Philadelphia had him seeing the ghost of Super Bowls past.

Regardless, it's not like Hurts didn't put forth a deserving performance. He played arguably his best game of the playoffs, completing 17-of-22 passes for 221 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He also added 11 carries for 72 yards and a touchdown.

Hurts became the third-straight quarterback to win the award after Mahomes claimed the last two.

Quarterbacks have won seven of the last 10 times. Julian Edelman and Cooper Kupp, both receivers, accounted for two of the remaining three.

Von Miller remains the last defensive player to win Super Bowl MVP, which came in Super Bowl 50.
