NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to sit outside at Super Bowl XLVIII
If the weather outside is frightful for Super Bowl XLVIII, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will be suffering right along with every other fan inside MetLife Stadium.
Goodell plans to sit outside for the Feb. 2 game, a person with knowledge of the plan told Paste BN Sports on Sunday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the league hadn't announced anything.
The possibility of a Super Bowl played in cold, wind and snow has drawn scrutiny since the New York area was awarded the game four years ago. The average high temperature for East Rutherford, N.J., on Feb. 2 is 39 degrees, according to Weather.com.
