Tennessee Titans coach Brian Callahan, through tears, acknowledges relief of win

The Tennessee Titans were able to pull out their second win of the season Sunday, clinching the 20-17 victory at home against the New England Patriots on Amani Hooker's interception with 2:17 left in overtime.
In the postgame news conference, first-year coach Brian Callahan fought back tears as he talked about his team.
"I'm proud of what those guys put out there and how hard they fought," he said.
Callahan mentioned several players by name, including running back Tony Pollard, who finished with a season-high 128 yards rushing.
"He's everything . . . he's everything that our locker room is about," Callahan said of Pollard before getting choked up.
"I'm proud of (expletive) him," he added.
At one point, Callahan was asked how bad the Titans needed this win after starting the season 1-6 and coming off a blowout 52-14 loss against the Lions in Detroit.
"I needed it bad, man," Callahan acknowledged through tears. "Yeah . . . we needed it."
Later, he explained the emotion on display was because his team played hard despite adversity on the field while fighting through injuries.
"It's just everything we want to be about," he said. "What our program should be about, how our team looks. We've had moments of resiliency, but this was a really, really resilient performance by our group."
The Titans (2-6) travel to face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday at 3:05 p.m. CT.
