The Minnesota Vikings have taken care of another one of their top defenders.
Cornerback Xavier Rhodes signed a contract extension on Sunday, the team announced. The extension was for five years and $70 million, according to multiple outlets.
Rhodes tweeted Sunday shortly after the team announced the move.
Rhodes, 27, earned his first Pro Bowl selection after recording a career-high five interceptions last season for the Vikings' third-ranked defense.
Minnesota also signed defensive end Everson Griffen to a contract extension last week.
