Vikings place CB Cameron Dantzler on injured reserve

After injuring his ankle against the Washington Commanders this past Sunday afternoon, the Minnesota Vikings have shut down emerging star cornerback Cameron Dantzler.
The Vikings announced Saturday that they have placed Dantzler on injured reserve, which will keep him out until after the three-game homestand.
The move wasn't unexpected, as NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that the Vikings had signed CB Duke Shelley to the active roster earlier on Saturday afternoon. Minnesota confirmed the addition of Shelley.
In Dantzler's place Sunday against the Buffalo Bills will be fourth-round pick Akayleb Evans. He did play well against the Commanders with seven tackles but draws a very tough first start against Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis.
