Maple Leafs' Reimer leaves with injury

TORONTO (AP) — Toronto Maple Leafs goalie James Reimer left Monday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers with an injury to his left leg.

Reimer was hurt during a scramble four minutes into the second period.

The 24-year-old stayed down for a few minutes before being helped to the locker room favoring his left leg.

Reimer, who is 5-3-0 this season and was coming off a 37-save shutout, was replaced in the Toronto goal by Ben Scrivens.

Leafs coach Randy Carlyle says Reimer will be evaluated on Tuesday.

"We don't think it's that serious, at this point," he said. "He shouldn't miss any extended period of time."

He said that the team would make an assessment after Tuesday on whether to promote a goalie from the American Hockey League.
