Montreal's Douglas Murray faces hearing for head hit
Montreal Canadiens defenseman Douglas Murray faces a hearing with the league after receiving a match penalty for a head hit in Tuesday night's game.
His hearing will be by phone (five or fewer games) on Thursday.
Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mike Kostka was bringing the puck into the Montreal zone in the third period when Murray stepped up and caught him in the head with an elbow.
Kostka fell, hit his head on the ice, and a stretcher was brought out. After a few minutes, he chose to skate off the ice instead.
The Lightning announced on Wednesday that Kostka had a concussion.
