Leafs' Nazem Kadri scratched after he misses a meeting

TORONTO (AP) — Nazem Kadri will miss the Maple Leafs' game Monday night against the New York Islanders because he missed a team meeting.

Interim coach Peter Horachek sent Kadri home Sunday after he was 20 minutes late to practice. Kadri said he overslept, accepted his mistake and the consequences that come with it.

Horachek referenced Kadri's "past" as something he brought up with the 24-year-old but didn't elaborate. Kadri has 16 goals and 20 assists this season.

Zach Sill will move over to center in Kadri's absence against the Islanders as Brandon Kozun returns to the lineup.

Toronto defenseman Stephane Robidas is also done for the season. The 38-year-old will have surgery on a left shoulder in which he has a torn labrum and rotator cuff.
