Nashville Predators defenseman P.K. Subban hadn't scored since Nov. 11 but solved that Wednesday night with two goals in the first 24 minutes.

The first, at 1:33 of the first period, was a quick shot that surprised Vancouver Canucks goals Anders Nilsson.

His second-period goal got a big assist from Nilsson.

Subban wound up from center ice and fired a shot that appeared to be going wide. But it nicked Nilsson's glove and deflected into the Canucks' net.

The NHL listed it as a 97-foot shot.

Subban was denied a chance at a hat trick in the 7-1 victory when he and Vancouver's Jake Virtanen got roughing minors and misconducts in the third period.
