Jets' Mark Scheifele will miss up to two months after crash into boards

The Winnipeg Jets’ strong start will now face its stiffest test.

Mark Scheifele will miss 6-8 weeks with an upper-body injury, coach Paul Maurice announced Thursday afternoon.

The star center suffered the injury Wednesday during an awkward fall into the boards as he tried to control a loose puck after a slight shove from Edmonton Oilers defenseman Brandon Davidson.
