As a fierce winter storm barrels up the East Coast, the NHL has postponed Thursday night's game between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers at TD Garden. No date has been set for when it will be rescheduled.
Boston is expected to get hit with 12 to 19 inches of snow. The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for the area until 7 p.m. ET.
The Bruins are 22-10-6 and second in the Atlantic Division, while the Panthers are 17-17-5. The Bruins will host the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday during which the area will be blanketed by widespread cold temperatures and wind. According to The Weather Channel, Saturday's high is forecast for 6 degrees and the low at -7.
