The final game of the NHL playoffs' first round went to double overtime, and now the second round will open on Monday.

The Winnipeg Jets downed the St. Louis Blues 4-3 in Game 7 after scoring twice in the final two minutes to tie the game, then winning on an Adam Lowry goal in the second overtime. .Vezina and Hart Trophy finalist Connor Hellebuyck, who was pulled three times in the series, picked up the win.

The Jets will face the Dallas Stars, who ousted the Colorado Avalanche in Game 7 Saturday night behind Mikko Rantanen's third-period hat trick.

The other second-round series are the Washington Capitals vs. Carolina Hurricanes, Toronto Maple Leafs vs. the defending champion Florida Panthers, and Vegas Golden Knights vs. Edmonton Oilers.
